Any ideas of accommodation in Italy for husband and wife, 48 and 50, planning 3 month holiday? We're not wealthy so can't be too expensive.
Try house-swapping! Find a swap in an area you like and use it as your base. We have done this in The Netherlands and Germany. Saves heaps and is great for meeting locals. Lots of sites but we use Aussie House Swap. Good luck. almost 6 years ago

Day Trips near Munich
A day trip to Zugspitze, the highest point in Germany, is quite spectacular. Train to Pasing then regional train to Garmische-Partenkirchen, cog train to Eibsee, another small train up the mountain then a cable car to the summit. A brilliant excursion. over 4 years ago

Want to go from Munich to Heidelberg by bus. Where does it leave from? Has anyone done this trip?
Thanks again, Cornelius. Do you live in Munich? It will be our third visit there. We love Bavaria. We are from Australia. about 4 years ago
