Where do you recommend for a relaxing, off the beaten path, interesting week long vacation in the US?

Northern Maine. Head to the Forks, Jackman or the Moosehead lake area. Nothing but beauty and wilderness. You can hike Mount Katahdin which marks the end of the Appalachian trail or raft class 5 rapids on the Kennebec, Dead or Penobscot rivers with Three Rivers rafting (accommodation, sky diving and other cool adventures too! www.threeriverswhitewater.com) Driving in northern Maine is amazing in itself. One of few places in the lower 48 to see Moose and the people are wonderful. It's my favorite place on the planet to relax and marvel at the beauty of our wonderful country. Post back if you are gonna go. I have tons of tips from 25 years of visiting! over 6 years ago

My husband and I plan to go on a 7 day trip to Spain, our first trip to Europe. Which all cities should we cover?

Honestly. I know it's your first trip and you have so much you want to see but you really should pick two cities and try to see them. Even a little over 3 days in a city is almost nothing to enjoy it. You don't have that much time to begin with and travel time between the cities will chew up the clock on you. Rushing and trying to see too much is one of the easiest ways to burn yourself out and ruin a trip. I would keep Barcelona up top and pick another city that fits your hobbies and interests. Do you want to see natural landscapes or big cities? Seafood? City nightlife? Places of Historical significance? Outdoors adventures? Let your desires and wants help plan your trip. Get on wikitravel.com and lonely planet and other travel sites and find places that match up well with what your expectations are. over 6 years ago

We are going to noosa on holiday, any places and things we have to do while we are there?

Check out the Australia Zoo. Buses depart daily from Noosa and it's the best Zoo I've ever been to. It's owned and operated by Steve Irwins family and its very, very interactive and you have numerous chances to interact with the animals. In Noosa we rented scooters right in town and zipped off down the coast and inland a bit for the afternoon. The electric ones don't require a license and it's affordable and fun. A wonderful way to see the beautiful area around Noosa. I would head to Peterpan's Travel agency in Noosa and check in with them. They will help you find things to do while you are in Noosa and can help you plan, book and research things. Please ask for Penny and tell her Chris says hello :) over 6 years ago
