Which is the best way to travel from Johannesburg to Mozambique? (we want to visit Kruger park on our way)

One of the cheapest ways to travel is overland travel. Check out the Johannesburg to Mozambique trip including Kruger National Park. The trip takes you back to Johannesburg. You can always just leave the trip one day early and end in Mozambique. Check it out: http://www.overlandingafrica.com/mozambique-magic-JJ14-13/ over 5 years ago

Any tips on safari travel in Kenya and Tanzania?

Safety tips are rather important; my favourite being 'don't shower with your mouth open' because the water you use will most probably not be drinkable if you're on a safari in the bush. Keep drinking water to stay hydrated and don't underestimate the importance of sunblock. Make sure you take your prescription papers along with your prescription drugs in case you're in a situation where you could get treated like a drug mule. Chat to your doctor before you depart and make sure that you have all the right vaccinations and malaria tablets for Kenya and Tanzania. When you're on a safari you'll also want to remember a few things about safari etiquette. This means sticking to paths, listening to your guide, not using spotlights excessively, not teasing wildlife or trying to attract them with sounds or food (you'll be surprised how many people want to do that). Don't sleep out in the open, under the stars - you will most definitely get eaten by mosquitos, and quite possibly a lion. Rather enjoy the evening sky and ambience while you're sitting around the fire chatting about all the awesome stuff you saw during the day, then safely retreat to your tent, chalet or lodge for a comfortable night sleep to recharge. Hope these help Enjoy your safari! over 5 years ago

how difficult is it to over-land through egypt

If you travel with an overland travel company you won't have a problem at all. There are loads of trucks travelling that route every week and they don't have a problem. over 5 years ago

Does anyone know what transport is best to take through Malawi, crossing borders such as Mozambique and Zambia?!

If you're up for an adventure tour then an overland trip is a good way to go. Before you leave on the trip your booking agent will confirm that you have all the documents you need and you'll be reminded at your pre-departure meeting about requirements for crossing borders. It is a simple process when you're carrying the right documents. over 5 years ago

Is it safe for two young women to go on a safari alone?

A safe, budget option for a safari in Tanzania is to travel in an overland truck with a group of young travellers like yourself. Overland travel companies book seats on their overland trucks and take anyone and everyone on adventure safaris through Africa. All you have to do is pick a trip. There is such an awesome vibe on the trucks. Definitely one of the best ways to travel for young female travellers. Great fun! over 5 years ago
