what do we need to know about malaysia?

Perhaps you could stay at one of the budget inns at Bukit Bintang @ Jalan Alor in Kuala Lumpur. There are many local hawker stalls. Despite the nearby areas which have been mushroomed with shopping malls around, however, you would find some old historical buildings being converted to restaurants and inns. If you have the luxurious of time, perhaps you would want to spend a week or two in Kuantan, Pahang Malaysia. It's at the east coast of Malaysia, and it's about 3hrs (by car) journey from Kuala Lumpur. There are fishing villages and there, you will have the opportunity to witness the local malays everyday's life in fishing village. There are many 'home-stay' accomodation and you don't have to stay in hotel. Home-stay styled accomodation let you rent the whole house or room in a much cheaper rate compare to hotels. In Kuantan, you will find many beaches as well. over 8 years ago

It depends how long you gonna stay in Malaysia. If you are in Kuala Lumpur, be sure to visit the Twin Towers and also KL Tower. :) If time persist, you may go Cameron Highlands. You will enjoy stunning views of tea plantations & vegetable farms in Cameron Highlands. :) over 8 years ago

    TOP Restaurants in Kuala Lumpur?

Perhaps you have to 'define' the "TOP RESTAURANTS". You are basically referring to very popular eatery places regardless of prices, or high-end restaurants with nice ambiance and expensive dining restaurants..??? Like what Dan suggested, Jalan Alor is famous for variety of foods to choose from, but it's only located along the street decently, but not in the restaurant itself.. over 8 years ago
