Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Santa Monica--nothing overly pricey--but decent...Thanks!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn at the Pier...which I was expecting to be average because it is quite cheap but it was great! So close to the water, and a really nice room. I just googled it and it is now owned by a different company so im not sure if the prices have increased, but it's still worth a look http://www.hisantamonicahotel.com/ 120 COLORADO AVENUE SANTA MONICA, CA 90401 almost 5 years ago

Any French/Canadian restaurants in Sydney that serve Poutine?

Hartsyard in Newtown do a pretty indulgent, upmarket version (not traditional though). They top their chips with oxtail gravy, cheddar, beer sauce and shredded beef. Hartsyard 33 Enmore Road Newtown NSW 2042 about 5 years ago

Where can I get a good dim sim in Sydney?

The best dumplings in Sydney (in my opinion) are found at Chinese Noodle Restaurant in Chinatown. We went there yesterday and ordered a dozen steamed pork dumplings, a dozen fried pork and chive dumplings, a huge plate of handmade beef noodles and amazing special braised eggplant all for under $50! You miss the excitement of the "Yum Cha" trolleys rushing past you, but you wont care once you taste these dumplings! Chinese Noodle Restaurant 8 Quay Street Sydney NSW 2000 about 5 years ago

Michelin star restaurants worth a visit in London

Hibiscus in Mayfair is definitely worth a visit. 2 Michelin stars but not stupidly overpriced or pretentious. http://www.hibiscusrestaurant.co.uk/ over 5 years ago

What's there to see in dubai

Dubai is famous for their Friday buffet brunch! I know that sounds a bit odd as an attraction, but these brunches have about 10 different rooms filled with food from sashimi to pizza bars. The prices is all inclusive and you can stay all day if you want to. Here is a pretty good list of the best: http://www.timeoutdubai.com/restaurants/features/2432-the-citys-best-brunches over 5 years ago

Where is the best place to enjoy octoberfest in Munich? Should we purchase tickets for a seat at the tents prior to arriving?

I've never reserved a table, just arrived early and been lucky enough to get a seat each day! The last time I was there for opening weekend, we arrived at the halls no later than opening (9am) and didnt have a problem getting a group of seats. over 5 years ago
