What are the best places to ski (in North America) in early April?

Squaw is cool if you are monied like Hilton Hier. For the budget minded skier, try Colorado. A season pass is still under $500 and most places, like Winter Park Resort will allow two weeks of free skiing in April on next year's season pass. Rates for lodging are generally deeply discounted as this is the beginning of the low season. Breackenridge, Vail Resorts and Aspen also have comprable deals as these resorts are all competing for your ski dollars. Stay and ski packages are available, but often require double occupancy. Check www.skiwinterpark.com for details and reservations. Closest to Denver Internatiional Airport, Winter Park offers a great family skiing experience as well as the sick-diddly-ick Mary Jane Mountain for those with a more courageous spirit. over 6 years ago

what is best to see in alaska?

The best things to see are based on what you enjoy the best. It's impossible to answer becuase you didn't indicate what things you typically enjoy doing. I live in Alaska and would be glad to steer you in the right direction but I need some more information. Are you a hiker, biker, fisherwoman, etc? Are you looking for packaged tours where everything is planned for you are you looking to plan things yourself and decide each day what you'd like to do? over 6 years ago
