What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?

Chill out! I couldn't drive when I was last there, but had an amazing time just laying around in hammocks, sipping cocktails & going snorkelling. From memory, the place has a more relaxed and romantic kind of vibe than other parts of Thailand. almost 7 years ago

Where is the best place for EPIC RIBS in SYD

Also make sure that you take the leftovers home from Hurricanes & make pulled pork sandwiches. Do not leave your leftovers in the office fridge and forget about them. almost 8 years ago

What's your favorite alley-way bar in Sydney?

Not quite a hole in the wall, but relatively small… my favourite is Hive Bar in Erskineville – http://www.thehivebar.com.au/ almost 8 years ago

What are cheap/fun things to do in or near Cairns? What bars should we go to?

If you have a car, definitely head up to Port Douglas for at least a day – it's beautiful up there & offers great access to the Daintree (free) and the reef (not so free). They also have toad races at Ironbar every night at 8pm, which is a lot of fun. As for Cairns, there's always a party at Gilligan's (the huge backpacker hostel). over 8 years ago

Are there any good multi day festivals in Australia this year?

Playground Weekender is coming up, and it has a good rep – http://www.playgroundweekender.com.au/2010/ – it's on next month in Wiseman's Ferry. Golden Plains is on in March, with Midnight Juggernauts headlining. That one's in Victoria. http://2010.goldenplains.com.au/ The only other one I can think of is Blues Fest, which is on in April at Tyagarah, near Byron Bay http://www.bluesfest.com.au/ over 8 years ago

Where are great local hangouts for twenty-somethings?

Keep an eye on threethousand.com.au – there is plenty of information about Melbourne on there & they release a new webzine every week with new things to see & do. As well as Eurotrash, check out Loop Bar & Miss Libertine. http://www.looponline.com.au http://www.misslibertine.com.au over 8 years ago
