How does one recover from long term travel?

Hi David, Unfortunately, I don't think you ever fully recover from long term travel. My best piece of advice is to try and treat your hometown as if you were a traveller there. Keep an eye out for interesting events, try out the newest restaurants/bars, take day or weekend trips outside of the city - and bring your friends along. The other option? Start planning your next trip - no matter how far away it may be. Remember though, you're not alone in feeling this way - all nomads do! about 1 year ago

What is the best travel destination this 2016?

This year is the 100th anniversary of the U.S. National Park system - so I would definitely head off on a U.S. road trip. Also, Nepal - an amazing country that is on the rebound from the earthquake - which makes it a great time to visit as it's not crowded and you can help support local tourism. over 1 year ago

Peru -- Cusco, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu

Hi Barbara, It depends on what you want to do. If you are trekking to Machu Picchu or taking the train I would advise booking in advance. However, if you want to do day trips around the Sacred Valley you can easily book tours and drivers on arrival in Cusco. It's a beautiful part of the world - enjoy! Alicia over 1 year ago
