    cheapest/reliable RV service?

HI Page, go to http://rankers.co.nz to see a huge range of RV reviews. You'll find there's a trade off between cheapest and most reliable ;-) You didn't say what size RV you need or when you're going - obviously this will affect the price a lot. But I agree that $4500 seems to be expensive! Have a look around this site for more Q&A on NZ campervans as there's a lot that's already been written. And search on the term "Campervan" rather than "RV" as that's the common lingo in this part of the world . Good luck about 5 years ago

    Accommodations in or near Adelaide

The Granada isn't near the CBD or any touristy attractions - but this will be fine if you're planning on using the buses or hiring a car for your 3 day stay, but not so great for walking tours. If you're interested in good things to do, there's a lot that's already been written here. Just search on Adelaide and look back though the Q&A. about 5 years ago

I am going to Fiji, Denarau in December this year over christmas, am a total foodie and need some reccomendations on where to eat??

In my brief stay on Denarau Island, we ate Moo Moo Wine bar and Grill (in the Westin) - and the food was really great. I hope this memory isn't just in comparison to the week of totally ordinary food we had on an island resort the week before! I do remember thinking, 'Now, THIS is what I'd been hoping for on my holiday!". Good luck. about 5 years ago

    Accommodations in or near Adelaide

Hi Carol, I grew up in Adelaide so haven't stayed in many of the hotels, but do know the Tollgate Motel. It's not a convenient location at all for visiting around Adelaide as it's set in the foothills right next to the freeway that goes up to the Adelaide Hills. If you were driving over, then maybe... but as you're taking the train, I'd look for something MUCH closer to the train station/CBD. A lot of Adelaide's attractions like the Museum, Art Gallery, Central Markets are in the CBD. about 5 years ago

I recently discovered that due to my father's birth I am an automatic citizen and am engaged to get passport and other papers. I

Hi Riadiotai, you'll need to give us more info to get some relevant advice - where do you live/what's your current citizenship and what's your fathers? Do you have papers and just need a passport or do you need to get copies of all the papers too? about 5 years ago

Road trip USA 8 weeks, what transport to use?

Sometimes you can pick up incredibly cheap deals on RV's if you look for 'Relocation Deals' - usually through the big car hire companies (i.e. http://www.apollorv.com/reloc.aspx ). They come and go though, so keep looking out for them. This might sort out some of the trip, then maybe change to a Hire Car/hostels for other parts. I've never driven an RV in the States, but have twice done so around New Zealand. Based on that experience, I wouldn't be too keen to take one into the big cities, but they're perfect for visiting National Parks and campgrounds. about 5 years ago

    exploring the great barrier reef?

You cannot access the Great Barrier Reef from Sydney. Australia is huge... it's about a 4 hour flight from Sydney to Cairns at the Northern end of the Reef. And then it's ~2 hours on a boat out to see the coral. Or 1.5 hour flight to Hamilton Island at the southern end of the Reef. There's lots of advice on snorkelling the Reef and good operators on this thread: http://answers.worldnomads.com/questions/australia/10902/we-are-hoping-to-snorkel-the-great-barrier-reef-near-cairns-or-pot-douglas-can-you-recommend-an-excursion-for-dec about 5 years ago

Just retired at 73. Fit and healthy, wife and I would like to travel a bit. Have small car, not a lot of money, but have 200 cases of wine.

Hi Roger, ever considered doing a home-swap? It's a fairly cheap way to visit another place and get a longer term local feel. And you could keep your wine ;-) Check out http://www.lovehomeswap.com or Google "home swap". about 5 years ago
