Cinque terre Italy. Lodging 2adult American women. Hip local cheap

I stayed at a little BnB in Montarossa which I thought was really nice and affordable - Hotel Souvenir. But I am sure there are lots of nice bed and breakfasts or hostels throughout the cinque terra region such as: Villaggio Turistico La Francesca over 6 years ago

I want to tour Italy for my 16 birthday. Should I do an actual tour or make it up myself?

I can highly recommend Intrepid's 'Highlights of Italy' trip. You get to see the main sights - Venice, Cinque Terra, Pisa, Florence and Rome, efficiently, economically and with (usually) a lovely bunch of people. Intrepid uses public transport and stays in local houses or bed and breakfasts, so you still are immersed in the Italian culture. You eat at places off the tourist track and have time to yourself if you want it. It is like backpacking without the stress! over 6 years ago

Good cities and towns to visit in Belgium?

Brussels is a wonderful capital city If you are interested in WW1 history, Quasimodo do excellent tours around Passchendale and Ypres Bruges is beautiful, but very touristy although there are two great pubs - one has over 300 types of beer (Brug's Beertje) and another is down the smallest street (De Garre). I actually preferred Ghent for a more authentic experience though. Eat waffles and mussels. Drink beer and be merry. over 6 years ago

Can anyone recommend bed and breakfast in Sicily?

I stayed in the lovliest BnB in Siracusa called Giuggiulena (http://www.giuggiulena.it/uk/). Sabrina was so lovely, kind and interesting. Our room was right on the water with spectacular views. It was a short walk to the old town, and just up the road is the most delicious restaurant ever! I could not recommend it more highly. over 6 years ago
