How do I join in Word Nomads

Hi Kada, Hope you're well. Are you asking about joining our community or about purchasing travel insurance? Unfortunately we don't currently sell insurance in Algeria, so you won't find this in the drop-down menus on our site. That being said, if you just wanted to sign up for our newsletter or perhaps a travel scholarship you can still do this. If Algeria isn't shown in the form then just select somewhere in the same timezone. Any questions let me know, Pearse World Nomads 4 months ago

can uk citizen travel from cuba to USA

Not sure about new regulation, but I went in Sept 2016 from NY to Havana, wasn't an issue the plane just stopped at the caymans so that it wasn't a direct flight. You get your passport stamped at the stopover point (for e.g. my friend went through Cancun) so that you enter/exit the US from that country rather than Cuba. If nothings changed it should be the same for returning. 8 months ago

Best non-touristy things to do/see in New Zealand and Australia?

Hey Kim, For non-touristy things around Sydney, I'd head down south to the Jarvis Bay area. Lot's of national parks, secluded beaches, fishing, camping, bushwalks etc. and with enough choice that it's usually pretty easy to avoid the crowded spots. You'll most likely need a car to get around though. I can recommend Meroo National park (google image it!) for a great place to camp which is a bit out of the usual tourist trail in that area. Hope you have a great trip! Pearse 10 months ago

Whare can i get the visa to Cuba whike travelling from US?

Hey Andreas, Not that I know of, I think the restrictions only apply to US citizens. When you get your boarding pass they give you a form to fill out which states the reason you are travelling there, but no one ever checked this. Unfortunately it's never really clear, I can only advise how I did it and there were no issues buying the visa on the way over to Havana. Good luck! Pearse 10 months ago

Whare can i get the visa to Cuba whike travelling from US?

Hey Andreas, As long as you're not travelling on a US passport, you just buy the visa on the way over from New York/El Salvador. I went last year, flight from NY with a stopover in the Caymans. When leaving NY we had to fill out one of their forms which state why you are going to Cuba, but no one actually checks this if you're not from the US. Then on the flight from the Caymans to Havana they announced if you didn't have a visa yet to yell out, and there was a guy on the plane who gave you one for $20 USD. Basically, once you're out of the US just ask the flight attendants/people in the stopover airport and they will let you know where/who to get it from, and take some US cash with you to buy the visa. Hope that helps, Pearse 10 months ago
