If I will go to Antalya from Ankara (Turkey), what kind of transportation can I use?

Keren, There are two types of transportation: 1. Buses 2. Airlines It takes 7 hours from Ankara to Antalya by bus. And about one hour by plane. Yet, you should take into consideration the time you will waste from the city to the Ankara Esenboga Airport and then from Antalya Airport to the city centrum. In Ankara, the airport is away from the city. It takes -from city centrum to the airport- at least 45 minutes by shuttles/buses. By taxi, it will take about 20-30 minutes. By plane, it might take about at least 3 hours in total to arrive Antalya from Ankara. If you will take a bus to Antalya, you can check Ulusoy and Varan companies. They are more expensive then the rest. Kamil Koc, Pamukkale and some other bus companies will be cheaper when compared to Varan and Ulusoy. Here are the links: Airlines: Anadolujet Airlines[by Turkish Airlines]: http://www.anadolujet.com Pegasus: www.flypgs.com and one web site you can check all other airlines: www.bulucak.com Bus companies: www.kamilkoc.com.tr www.ulusoy.com.tr www.varan.com.tr www.pamukkaleturizm.com.tr Have a good time, over 6 years ago

Is it easy to take the overnight bus from Fethiye to Cappadocia, Turkey?

Hello, You are right. It takes about 12 hours. I would recommend you to take the latest bus towards the evening or night. Because there are many cities and bus stops between Cappadocia and Fethiye and the buses stops and gets new passengers on many cities. But the late buses which travels mostly at night will have less stops. And that will be more comfortable. There is a 7.30pm bus instead of 4.30pm. But if you would like to see some cities on daylight, then 4.30pm is better of course. ++ You can select your own seat. And I would recommend you to request a seat in front of the bus. Thus you will have a view in front. That is less boring :) ++ I only found METRO TURIZM (http://www.metroturizm.com.tr/) has buses between two cities. These buses are normal buses. Have chair screens/tv/ and also wi-fi in the bus. However, the tv and movies will be in Turkish mostly. ++ The ticket price is about 60TL which makes in current days 20-25 Euros. ++ METRO TURIZM (http://www.metroturizm.com.tr/) has online ticket sales. Use this address for browsing the site in English: http://www.metroturizm.com.tr/en/index.htm Also you can consult any Metro Turizm agency in Fethiye and buy your ticket directly from their agencies. Whichever is easiest for you. Write me if you need any help on tickets or more details. Have a nice trip and holiday... sas about 4 years ago

I am going to Rhodes at the end of July for 5 days. What do you recommend?

Hello, First of all, if you are going for a nice beach then you should stay on the south coast of the island. The south coast has better beaches. If you like to be near the beach then you should be careful when choosing your hotel. Many hotels on the north side have a road between the hotel building and the beach. This is just what I do not like. I like hotels that are next to beach and have a private beach. The north coast beaches are not sandy. And the sea is nearly always wavy. And also the sea water is not crystal type water due to waves. The hotels generally are good. We stayed on Electra Palace on the north coast. It was next to the beach but a bit far from the city center. I suggest you to join the island trips from the city center. There is a train type tour that takes you to the close places for a half an hour trip. And also there trips that takes one day for a full island trip. This trip takes place only on som days. In our case it was on Tueasday and we missed it. There are buses to everywhere nearly. And the bus drivers announce every bus stop. People are lovely. If you are going for shopping to the city center, do not go between ~13-17pm since these hours are sieasta hours. If you can -and certainly do it- go to the west coast of the island where eagean and mediterranean seas meet. There is a sandy beach that divides both seas. It is beautiful to feel that division. Also you will see that eagean is very wavy whereas mediterranean has no waves. Also you can watch people doing a different kind of surf sport which is fun to watch. Swimming against the waves in that Eagean side beach is another fun thing. I do not suggest to go to other small islands daily tours. There is nothing. Really nothing. No good beaches, no place to sit. No fun things. It was bad for us to waste our two days in those island trips. Those are what I remember from our holiday two years ago. If I remember something extra, i will write those too. Have a nice holiday, over 6 years ago
