hello, how long a Travel insurance with world nomads lasts? do they provide it for 1 year or just for a single trip? thank you

Hi Massimo, Yael from Worldnomads.com here. World Nomads only provide single trip coverage, but you can select the specific duration that you require - so if you want to travel for an entire year, then you can purchase coverage for that length of time! As Heidi has mentioned above, simply enter in your dates of travel and destinations on our website www.worldnomads.com to receive a quote. You can also buy more cover when you are travelling if you decide to stay longer. We don't offer Annual Multi Trip style policies, where you can take multiple holidays under the one insurance policy. Instead, you would need to purchase separate policies for each trip as required. I suggest that you contact our customer services team if you have any specific questions about what's covered and not covered - you can reach them here: https://www.worldnomads.com/contact-us. They are always happy to help. 6 months ago

Importance of the residence to buy a travel insurance.

Hi JJ, Yael from WorldNomads.com here. Your country of permanent residence is the country where you have your permanent home or principal establishment and to where, whenever you are absent, you intend to return. This is the country you may be repatriated back to if you are unfit to continue your trip or if you require long term medical care after a medical emergency while travelling. Depending on whether this is Spain or Oman will determine which country you will enter when purchasing a policy. For more information on country of residence, please see: https://helpdesk.worldnomads.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2403556-travel-insurance-what-is-my-country-of-residence-?b_id=12919 If you chose to nominate Spain, please know that you can purchase a policy if you are already outside your country of residence. Please see the article: https://helpdesk.worldnomads.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2403558-can-i-buy-a-travel-insurance-policy-if-i-m-already-overseas-?b_id=12919 for further information. I suggest that you contact our customer services team if you have any specific questions about what's covered and not covered - you can reach them here: https://www.worldnomads.com/contact-us. Am I able to make trips back home without affecting my cover?

Hi Susan, Yael from WorldNomads.com here. Our policies for Australian residents have a benefit included called a Homesick Visit, which means that you can return home once (at your own expense) for any non-claimable reason, and then resume your trip under the same policy period once you are ready to continue your travels. This home visit will not change the overall duration of your policy – as the policy will still expire on your nominated end date, unless you decide to buy more cover to stay overseas for longer. It’s best to have a read of the policy wording carefully to make sure you understand what's covered, what's not covered, and any policy limits or conditions to cover. That way you can decide if the cover is right for you (and all of the activities you’ll be doing in Canada). I suggest that you contact our customer services team if you have any specific questions about what's covered and not covered - you can reach them here: https://www.worldnomads.com/contact-us. They are always happy to help. I hope you have an awesome trip! 9 months ago

    flights cancelled, can we rebook?

Hi Jerwin Yael from WorldNomads.com here. Sorry for the delay! We'd like to be able to help you with your question, but first we need to know your policy number and your country of residence as policy coverage differs from country to country. If you haven't already done so, you should email the customer service team through the Contact Us form: http://www.worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx Any more insurance policy questions you might have are best sent directly though to the customer service team (using the above link) rather than through the Ask A Nomad question and answer service (which is better suited to general travel questions). That way your questions will come through to the right area and we can help alot quicker! over 6 years ago

I live in Korea but I am British. Should my country of residence be Britain or Korea? Sorry it's a stupid question but i'm stupid!

Hi there, Yael from WorldNomads.com here! In deciding whether to select South Korea of Britain you should choose the country of residence where you have access to permanent medical care and where you'd be repatriated to if necessary. You must also be legally defined as a permanent resident (not temporary) of that country and have a residential address that you can refer to within that country. You can review who can buy the insurance within the terms and conditions or full description of cover (policy wording) - each one is different and you can review this here: http://www.worldnomads.com/travel-insurance/prices-and-benefits.aspx In general, if you are a permanent resident or citizen of a country, then you can buy our insurance, even if you are travelling in another country. If you have further questions please feel free to send through an email to our customer service team: http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx Happy travels! over 6 years ago
