It really depends what part of the world you want to go to, what your budget is and how old your children are. I'll list a few in different parts of the world so that you can get some sort of an idea.

    - Gold Coat, Australia (The summer time is the best time to go the Gold Coast. If you're into beaches and theme parks this is the place to go.)

    - Sanya, China (A great beach holiday for the family. There are also a select few cultural activities that you can do. I'd recomend staying at one of the hotels in the Yalong Bay. The Ritz Carlton is beautiful if you can afford it. The Hilton, Marriott and Sheraton are two great hotels there too but hotels like the Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza also have a good reputation.)
    - Krabi, Thailand (Krabi is stunning, I personally have great memories visiting Krabi for two weeks as a child. My family and I stayed at the Sheraton and had a wonderful experience. There was even a baby elephant that lived at the hotel so the kids could feed it and play with it in the sea. There were also a ton of activities on offer such as white water rafting and hiking through the mountains too.)
    - Phuket, Thailand (Another great destination in Thailand, it's very similar to Krabi but more busy and "mainstream". I must admit though there is nothing better than eating Pad Thai made by the locals on the beach. It's the best.)

    - Rome and Florence, Italy (Another great family holiday I took back in '08. We spent a week in Rome then spent two weeks driving around Florence. It was such an amazing trip and great for the kids too. Just a forewarning though a lot of walking tends to be involved especially in Rome. Nonetheless it's probably one of the best family holidays that I've ever been on. I highly recommend it.)
    - Algarve, Portugal (A beautiful spot at the bottom of Portugal. I went last year with family had the best time. There is tons to do and for all ages too.)
    - London, England (Lot's to do and see. It wouldn't be my number one family destination but still a great place. Lots to do for all ages and interests.)

Sorry I don't know about Africa or America because I've never been but I hope this helps in some way. Have fun! over 2 years ago
