My partner and I are going to spend a year in Oz, with stop overs in China / Philippines and New Zealand. The issue we are having is finding a decent and trust worthy insurance company that will cover us for most if not all eventualities, i.e good health cover and personal possession, with low excess...I appreciate that everyone has different cover needs but wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good and honest company that they have heard only good things about that actually pay out without being sneaky, e.g. I heard that someone had to come home from their travels early and their insurance company would only pay for the one way flight home (which is reasonable enough) but then only giving them the money for the flight, not including taxes etc...which resulted in a £150 payout for £500 flight!
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks in advance...
I'm not legally allowed to actually recommend our own travel insurance, however I can say we are an honest company, run by people passionate about travel, who endeavour to provide a great service. Oh, and we operate our own not-for-profit part of the business designed to give a little back to the communities touched by us all: http://www.footprintsnetwork.org
Have a look at what else we do by way of services, get yourself a quote, ask whatever questions you'd like http://www.worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx
and make sure you read the policy wording (PDS) : http://www.worldnomads.com/travel-insurance/whats-covered.aspx
We believe our service meets the needs of GAP year travellers because we have designed it so you can buy enough to set off and then just log-in and keep extending it as you travel.
Have a great trip
