I have to find a nice, cheep place to leave there while I study there for a few months

    Palermo is central lively and real. Buenos aires is a great walking city so it would be good to be walking distance from anywhere you'll be spending a lot of time at. about 5 years ago

    All the above are basically the top picks of baires. I live in Palermo hollywood right now. But none of the above are what I'd call cheap. Especially short term.

    For legitimate 'cheap' I'd go for surrounding barrios like villa crespo, colegiales, or almagro. San telmo would be the mid priced option imo. about 5 years ago

    San Telmo is my choice, close to most of the important places in the city, good transportation, and you can even walk everywhere. Monserrat/San Cristobal can be cheaper option to San Telmo and also central location almost 5 years ago
