We can see that the chat on front page is over 6 months old. So we'd like to ask everyone their more current suggections. We will be traveling next month to Sydney. Where we are being told to stay there for like 2 days then take a flight to Brisbane, drive the 2 hours to Noose for the reminding time of our trip 5 days. Can anyone suggest things to do while in these 3 places?

Thanks a Mil!

    Hi Lisa

Two days in Sydney is a tight schedule, but if given two days I would (if the weather is good) take the ferry from Circular Quay to
Manly Beach for an afternoon. Visit the observation deck at Centrepoint Tower to take in some amazing views. Also take a stroll around Darling Harbour. I would avoid Bondi (Manly is better) and also avoid the Monorail. If you have any more spare time I would do a harbour cruise in the evening - the city skyline is spectacular.

Hope that helps and enjoy your time in Brisbane and Noosa! over 6 years ago

If you are in Sydney on a Sunday. You can ride the trains, buses and ferries all day for only $2.50. what I would suggest you do is get up very early. Catch a train to Parramatta, then head to the River cat and travel down the parramatta river and harbour on the rivercat. this will bring you to Circular Quay. walk around the opera house etc. then catch a ferry to Manly - walk to the beach and pacific ocean and have lunch. You must have Aussie fish and chips. then catch the ferry back to circular Quay (City). We did this with relatives at Xmas and they were so surprised we could do all of this for $2.50. Hope you enjoy your day. over 6 years ago
