Must be consistently fresh. Tired of inconsistent sushi.

    Takagi.
    Sush.
    Sakura.

If you felt like a walk, you could go down to Orizuru at Mures.

Its a bit beyond the scope of the CBD however there is a very nice Sushi place in the Coles complex in Kingston. They even do Sushi buffets during the evenings. over 6 years ago

Once upon a time I would have always said Takagi ... but then they grew to be relatively inconsistent (crunchy rice etc.)

Sush is ok and consistent, but a little bland.

Sakura is decent and cheapish, and relatively consistent (though I've the occasional piece of Tuna that might have been a bit old).

I'd vote Sakura overall though. But I wouldn't say I know of a 'good' and 'consistent' sushi place in the CBD these days. over 6 years ago

Sakura on liverpoool st would have to be my favourite.. They have great sushi and great traditional meals that are good value. The staff are extremely friendly! over 6 years ago

Agree with the above posters, however if you want really good Sushi, and following Guy's lead, try Kawasemi in Moonah. over 6 years ago

Kawasemi in Moonah is probably the best Japanese resturant around in greater Hobart. over 6 years ago

I would agree that Kawasemi is the best Japanese restaurant in greater Hobart and agree that Orizuru is very decent as well. In fact I have friends who work in both so I kind of have to like them both, haha.

But as for my specific question, I guess the consensus would appear to be Sakura... over 6 years ago
