Beecroft is about 39km away from Sydney Airport, so a taxi would cost (I am guessing) about $100.

I think the cheapest and fastest way would be by train. Get a ticket to Beecroft from the station at the airport, then catch a train to Central, and change to a Epping to Hornsby line (Red line) that is travelling north, and get off at Beecroft. Trains are very regular - about every 15 minutes.

You can look at the rail map here (Beecroft is two stops after Epping on the red line)

    A hard question!

Domestic terminal to Beecroft costs $17.20 for an adult, or $11.10 for child student.

This comes out at $56.60 for a typical family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), and taking around an hour with a transfer between trains at Central. The downside is you've got to drag your bags around between trains.

With a cab, you're probably looking at $90+ (possibly worse at 9am), but you can just get in the cab and not have to worry about bags/transfers.

It's a hard call, but I'd probably catch the train. While a bit inconvenient you won't have to worry about traffic, and the cost is fixed and cheaper. You don't have to worry about Sydney traffic either. over 6 years ago
