Southbank has a great atmosphere- somewhere like World Bar and Restaurant would be good. Otherwise Degraves St off Flinders St is full of little eateries that would suit all tastes. over 6 years ago

It's Melbourne... so many places! A couple of personal favourites:
    - Hu Tong Dumpling Bar offers great food and an amazing experience, but it's very popular so you'd best book a few days out.
    - Maedaya in Richmond does a really interesting Japanese tapas, or the cook-your-own option upstairs is a great experience.
    - Ladro in Gertrude St Fitzroy and now Greville St Prahran does the most magnificent pizzas. over 6 years ago
