    I haven't driven from Melbourne from Sydney, but make sure that once you get to Victoria you travel along the coast. I spend my holidays from childhood down on the Mornington Peninsula and can honestly say that it is one of the most beautiful places on earth almost 10 years ago

    You could head down to the Great Ocean Road before you start heading further South East.
    Cutting across with the Hume Hwy is pretty boring and if you have a week I would try and take the longest way possible to get there. almost 10 years ago

    I'm just a local student Sydney, but my friends and I go on road trips every fortnight.
    There are a few cool places you could go...
    You could go snorkeling at Jervis Bay, it has a pod of 60 resident dolphins.
    The Snowy Mountains has good horseback riding.
    Mount Kosciuszko is the highest mountain in Australia, and one of the Seven Summits.
