I'd go for a long stroll from Bondi to Bronte, lunch at the caf├ęs in Bronte then walk it off on the stroll to Clovelly and Coogee. over 7 years ago

In warm weather if they're moderately fit I'd take them for a walk from the Spit Bridge to Manly beach. Pack some towels and swimming gear and some drinks and it can't be beat on a warm afternoon. Amazing views of the harbour and the city from Middle Head will help show the layout of Sydney. over 7 years ago

You've got to get them onto the harbour. A ferry to Manly is the cheapest and easiest way to do it. I'd also do a picnic on Bradley's Head on the North side of the harbour. Some of the bets views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House can be had from there.

I'd also take them to the Rocks area lots of good places to eat and drink around there along with a bit of history. over 7 years ago

Depending on what they like, if they'd never been to Sydney and it is this cooler time of year, I think a walk over the bridge, a stroll past the opera house, through the gardens to Mrs Macquarie's Chair and a ferry ride to Manly or Watsons Bay followed by a walk around the beach front either to Shelly Beach (in the case of Manly) or towards South Head (in the case of Watson's Bay). With a car, a drive up to the Blue Mountains viewing a couple great vantage points (my favs are Sublime Pt off Leura and Pulpit Rock off Blackheath), seeing the Three Sisters and enjoying a great lunch or enjoyable snack in any of the excellent little townships on the way. over 7 years ago

IF they're from overseas the Fish Market is always a big hit. the Botanic Gardens are always interesting and the top floor of the law school building has a cafeteria with stunning views. over 7 years ago

I forgot to say that if they're Australian and youngish ie under 60 I guess a stroll along King St Newtown with a stop at a cafe and a pub like the Sandringham is fun. over 7 years ago

I'd do bondi and the bondi to bronte walk, then catch the ferry to manly and back, then head to marrickville to have a great cheap feed at the vietnamese restaurants and then head on up to newtown for a beer at one of the many pubs..then have a breakfast at kasbah in balmain on darling street..delicious over 7 years ago
