What and where are the 'must see' spots in the NT?
Would like to go for 4-5 days (including travel time to and from syd)...what are the best spots if only going for this short amount of time...

Adventure tours run a 2 day 1 night Kakadu package which is very good. Basically the longer the better in Kakadu is best. Normally they will include a trip to Litchfield national park too. over 9 years ago

What time of the year are you planning to go? It's about to hit the wet season up here and the tours will soon stop running. over 9 years ago

Definitely get out to Lichfield Nat Park - the journey is not too arduous and you get to see some nice waterfalls and even a chance to swim, altho the season might be against you as remarked by another responder.
Depending again when you are there, the open air movie theatre in Darwin is a great experience. You'll enjoy the laid back feeling about the place and you can stay simple or right off the map price wise. over 9 years ago -
Plan to spend a day in Darwin. The city has come alive in the last few years, with great restaurants (Hanuman), attractions (Crocasaurus Cove) and a new wave pool to survive the heat. It's well worth spending at least half a day and a night. over 9 years ago
