What do you want to know about it?
There are mountains and snow...
The views are absolutely spectacular.
Best months to go are Dec, Jan and Feb.
Innsbruck is a popular centre to base yourself in.
There are plenty of hotels in the mountains that might be better if you rent a car. about 1 year ago -
I found the Zillertal region was fabulous. You could buy one lift ticket & virtually ski a different mountain every day. Each mountain has several hundred kilometers of piste. From this region (I stayed in Hippach) you travel up and down the valley by train and/or bus (all available if you have the whizz bang all inclusive ski pass) to access the different mountains.
With this pass, you can also ski a glacier.
When I went to this region I was traveling by public transport, and everything was easily accessible.
Also around the region of Innsbruck is pretty good. A little out of Innsbruck is Seefeld (still within the region of Tirol), I also found that there were several mountains within a short drive from where I was staying, and again, I skied a different mountain almost every day of the week.
We were about half an hour form the border of Germany, so were able to spend some days skiing in Austria and other days in Germany, within an hour drive we had access to Germany's highest slope, Zugspitze, which was absolutely AMAZING!!
Though a little frightening, from the cafe I observed 3 helicopter rescues!!
This region I had a car, and am not able to comment on how easy it is to get around with public transport, but again you can buy a ski pass that covers several different mountains.
