    Hello..

São Paulo in Brazil is a Metropolis similar to others big city in the world. São Paulo is relatively safey as New york, Paris, Londes, Roma and other big cities. I live here for 37 years and not need a bodyguard. There is not terrorism in Brasil and I never was a victim of violence here.

As every big city, there are zones in which you'd be safer than others.
Don't prefer to be hosted near the central zone. At night it is dangerous.
    By day, it depends.
Arriving here, you can talk about your concerns and people will be more specific depending on your profile and interests.

Hello Marco. In Sao Paulo you need to be careful as in any other big metropole. Just don`t act as if you`re in a playground. Be start, but be cool. And enjoy your trip to Brazil! almost 7 years ago

Hi Marco. Don´t be worry ! Such as any other big city in the world you need to be careful, but relax. Sao Paulo has a lot of intersting restaurants a great night life and a lot of cultural points to be visiting. São Paulo is a hub for excelents destinations in Brazil and South America. You can book by www.avianca.com.br and get excelent flights with low price. I really recomend. almost 7 years ago

Hi Marco. I think everybody said that. What I can tell you, avoid to flash money, use fancy or expense things around your neck, things that might attract unpleasant people. Use taxis or the subway. It's the bet way. taxis ask for the place where you will stay for telephone numbers and agree in advance with a recommended driver time and place for pickup.
During the day Sao Paulo is pretty safe. I would recommend, though, that you avoid the peripheral places. If you want specific places to go, feel free to ask. Sao Paulo has lots of restaurants, discos, some interesting museums and good concert halls. over 6 years ago

I would add that the most interesting places to visit at Sao Paulo are quite safe. Taxi is not that cheap, but it is a nice option by night. Peripherals and central zone should be avoided at night. over 6 years ago
