You have to visit Bulgaria. The nature, the food and the people are great. Bulgaria is one of the oldest countries in Europe, so there are a lot of acheological and histoical monoments to be seen. You can go to the mountains ot you can visit the seaside. Sofia is a great capital city, full with young people and a lot of events and things to do.
I have visited Serbia but i didn't have the time to see much of the country. If you go, taste the traditional food, it is delicious and cheap. about 1 month ago

Bulgaria is amazing, the salads are delicious as are the Black Sea Mussels. The countryside and history are really interesting, the Roman and Tharcian ruins were stunning. We spent 3 weeks there but are planning to return for at least a month. We loved Plovdiv and the surrounding countryside. We also loved Bansko and Balchik. We didn't get to Sofia so we can't comment on that.
We also visited Macedonia and Albania, both are beautiful, but driving in Albania is an experience that we hope to never repeat.
I would go to Bulgaria for the nature, great fresh food and the history. about 1 month ago
