Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! The east coast of Canada is one of the friendliest places you could go, especially if you are thinking about going to one of the smaller towns. Some bigger cities can be a bit more cold shouldered at first, but overall the vibe is very welcoming over 3 years ago

Nova Scotia IS indeed a peaceful and friendly place to live and/or visit. "Bluenosers", named after the world famous Bluenose Schooner a century ago, are known the world over for their warm, friendly hospitality. Filled with charming towns from the scenic South Shore to the majestic Cape Breton Island of the north, visitors will be impressed by the natural beauty of Nova Scotia.

The capital city of Halifax, founded in the early 1700's, is often called "The City of Trees". Greenery and fresh sea air abounds here, and features iconic landmarks such as: "Citadel Fortress", circa 1750 it has never seen battle because of it's design and setting; "The Public Gardens" are the oldest Victorian-style gardens in North America, FREE and a popular place for afternoon strolls with the family, Halifax staunchly holds onto its history and architectural gems like "The Historic Properties", a former warehouse district during the "Golden Age Of Sail", the harbor front shops, bars and hotels are a natural venue for civic activities, sporting events, concerts, festivals like the annual "Busker Fest", or simply hanging out dockside, enjoying the company of friends and family.

Wherever the road takes you within Nova Scotia, you will find its streets are safe, someone's always available to offer advice, and most who visit come back time and again. Enjoy your trip to "Canada's Ocean Playground"! about 3 years ago
