I will be heading to Japan for month before flying to Europe. I plan to backpack and find a job over the summer. I am wondering if it will be cheaper to buy for my expected length of time or buy for a couple of months and extend it as I am overseas.

    Hi Heidi,

    Yael from WorldNomads.com here.

Quotes are different depending on a variety of factors, including your country of residence, destinations and duration. The best thing you can do is run a few different quotes and see which option works best for you. You can also buy more cover whilst you are already travelling (although there may be a waiting period), so that is an option you can consider if you are unsure of your duration.
Check out our insurance FAQs for more info on our policies: http://www.worldnomads.com/travel-insurance/travel-insurance-questions.aspx

I also suggest that you contact our customer services team if you have any specific questions about what's covered and not covered - you can reach them here:
