I think I also made a comment for Rome, but I saw this in my list as well and thought I'd answer. I stayed at St. Christophers in Paris and I would HIGHLY recommend this as a good, inexpensive hostel (for Paris) where you can meet ALL kinds of people. It was always active, as there is a bar in the lobby, and I met so many people that I hung out with, traveled with, and made really good friends with. I love the rooms as well, but the atmosphere is definitely what I loved the most. As most hostels in Paris are, it isn't within walking distance of the "tourist sites", but that's a quick fix with a Metro Pass for however many days you need it. Highly highly recommend this place. It's also in a fun part of Paris, so I enjoyed walking around here as well. over 8 years ago

The best and cheapest way to stay in Paris is to rent a studio! It can be cheaper than hostels and you'll get way better locations as all decent hostels in Paris are away from the centre! Try homelidays.com or airbnb.com! I stay at hostels in every other city in the world but not in Paris... about 8 years ago
