Generally, yes they are. Regular travellers report that the Air France shuttle bus is a good and safe alternative. Taxi or car service, watch out for brazen thieves on the highway into Paris. Traffic is often at a standstill, they ride up alongside on a motorbike, smash the window and grab your bag and take off with it. Put bags in the trunk.

Be careful of pre-paying on Internet for an airport shuttle... We hired a shuttle to CDG for an early morning flight. When they didn't show I started calling. I woke some guy up, and he hung up on me twice. Then he said he'd contact the driver. He said the driver said we were too far away (we were in central Paris). I said I prepaid and he promised to credit my card. He never did. I contacted my credit card company, but they couldn't find him since he used a 3rd party service to process the payment. I was out $50... We found a taxi on the street who was honest, fair, friendly - and cost far less than the shuttle! over 3 years ago
