I know there is a lot of street art in Berlin and I was wondering if there are any tours that could show me the best of it?

Well there are many different tours in Berlin but the one you want is Alternative Berlin (www.alternativeberlin.com). I used to be a tour guide for these guys in 2008. the meeting point used to be at the Alexandreplatz radiotower (the massive famous radiotower) out the front near the starbucks at 11am. Though the tour has apparently gone through the roof since I worked there and you may have to book.

This tour is not your usual tour, although history is used as a point of reference its about what is happening here and now in Berlin. Various areas of cultural interest are walked through such as various punk, gay, turkish, and general alternative districts. Street art is a very major part of the tour too Niko and the history of street art in Berlin and some of its most famous artists ant works will be pointed out. If your lucky you may even end up at a daytime rave or a leftist demonstration.

I had some crazy times working for this company, many stories that are not fit for here. All I can say is that the Alternative Berlin tour is exactly what it says it is; crazy off the beaten track, and not your normal tour. over 7 years ago

    I live in Berlin...

Check out Kreuzberg Schliesische Straße (go to vimeo and search for 'blu'). Mitte/Prenzlauer Berg have quite good stencil. Friedrichshain is the current left wing area and has some pretty cool grafiti. Best way, hire a bike and get off the beaten track. over 6 years ago

The guys and girls from "the hiddenpath" are doing a really good job in showing you around in the secret places of Berlins Street Art Artists. They also do workshops, in which you can do your own grafitti and other cool action almost 4 years ago
