I'll be travelling to Germany at Christmas and need to get from Gottingen to Munich.

    The best way is probably taking the train. The hourly ICE will take you there in 4 hours. However, you should buy your ticket as early as possible (Sparpreis from 49 Euro) because the regular fare will be about 100 Euro. Enjoy your stay in Göttingen! almost 10 years ago

    Another way to do it if you are on a budget is to use a ridesharing website like http://www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de or http://www.mitfahrzentrale.de. Prices are generally much cheaper than the trains (although taking a car this far will obviously take longer than an IC or an ICE train!)

    Its a really good way to meet some natives (and practice your german if you speak any!) almost 10 years ago
