That's hard because India is pretty exotic. However here are a few ideas to get you started:
    - Rajasthan particularly over near Jaisalmer
    - Varanasi, the epitome of a religious Hindu city
    - ladakh, high in the himalaya
    - Mumbai, modern India in all it's Bollywood

Lots to choose from. You just need time. More than one trip. over 3 years ago

India is incredible and very beautiful. Whole India is adorable. There are many places to visit in India like: Shimla, Manali, Goa, Kerala, Kashmir, Rajasthan and much more. In Rajasthan there are many forts and palaces, history makes Rajasthan, India so special. over 3 years ago

I'd try the more lesser known places - Konark, Panchmarhi, Ladakh, Sikkim, Darjeeling, (Any of the North-Eastern states - Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, etc) ... The northern areas straddling the Himalayas are really beautiful! over 3 years ago

I would say Rajasthan. It's not immediately exotic, but once you get under the surface and begin to really see it, you'll definitely agree that it is India's most exotic state. over 3 years ago

Pushkar Lake. Straight out of the Arabian Nights. They probably still serve a bhang lassi, should your tastes wander in that direction. Further west, the fortress city of Jaisalmir is very exotic. Of course if you want things more convenient, Agra and Varanasi are must sees. over 3 years ago
