I guess the question is where in India you are looking and what do you want to do, because there is heaps.
I have never been to Vizag but I know in Hyderabad there are a few good place like Paramount in Secundrabad - famous for its Biriyani.
In Bangalore, the Pubs are fantastic - there are always new ones. Fanoos on the other end of Brigade road is famous for its Kebab Rolls. You should try the Jumbo (2 kebabs), Mambo (3 Kebabs) or the Rambo (4 Kebabs!!!) in a roll. Take care if you have a weak tummy!
A few notches up the price scale and way way easier on your tummy is Koshy's - on a hot Bangalore afternoon take a book to Koshy's, sip a cold kingfisher beer and eat fish and chips - heaven.
A visit to India Coffee House on MG Road used to be a must do - I dont know if its any good anymore.
In Chennai, Amythest is a great place to laze with a coffee. Beat the summer sun in their garden restaurant. Anokhi set in a similar style, does great eggs and bacon for brekky. I think they do an all day breakfast.
In Kochi, there is Coffee Beanz, the best place to hang out there. All day breakfast, both western and Indian. Great stuff.
What do you reckon? Does that help. over 8 years ago
