Japan has superb skiing. This page has a pretty good overview of the main skiing resort town in Japan: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/japan-ski-town-guides/index.html about 6 years ago

Timothy, my friend and fellow Away.com editor skied in Japan recently and has some useful tips at: http://bit.ly/8KsAwD. Try Hakuba or Niseko. I've skied down near Hiroshima but think the Japanese Alps around Nagano or Hokkiado are your best bet! about 6 years ago

I agree with Hakuba or Hokkaido, for me it comes down to access and time if you have time and dont mind spending a few extra days and dollars travelling head to Hokkaido if you want to go to a big resort town which is only a couple of hours from Tokyo then choose Hakuba. about 6 years ago
