    Japan has some of the most spectacular season's in the world so there isn't really a bad time. However Spring (April) is stunning especially in Kyoto (http://www.flickr.com/photos/simonmonk/) and Autumn (Late October - November) is breathtaking in places like Miyajima or Nikko. The main problem with either is getting your timing just right, but because Japan is long the seasons tend to move across the country over a couple of weeks so as long as you are flexible and have bought a Japan Rail Pass before you arrive, you can go to wherever is best. over 7 years ago
