Do not assume everyone speaks Elnglish. While I was teaching, I was being translated. If you will be in the villages, most will have little education & they will not speak English. over 5 years ago

No definitely not, I run a volunteer program that links schools in the United States with schools in Africa and India, and do quite a bit of work in Tanzania. Although English is required in schools in Tanzania, particularly in the rural areas knowledge of English is quite scarce. If you want help or recommendations, you can visit our projects at www.waterpowerpeace.com after bringing many groups of middle school students and volunteers over to Africa, we have several recommendations on what to bring with you. good luck over 5 years ago

I lived there for 4years. It depends where u r. If ur in the towns then u won't have a problem. The majority will speak English. If ur in the village then the opposite is true. over 5 years ago
