If u have a valid driving license and know your way, get a car. It should cost u about rm150~180. This exclude petrol and park entrance fees. about 7 years ago

    • Very good. I follow your advice. I'll be arriving KK this evening on Fireflyz holiday package. Thanks a lot. PicklesChong about 7 years ago

It depends on where you are traveling from.

You can get a very cheap van ride to the park from the main transportation circle in Kinabalu. They leave as they fill up, so generally at least every hour or so. To get back, you can hail one down or arrange for a taxi. If you arrange for a taxi, before sure to do it the day before. The help staff at the park can call and arrange pick-up. It is fairly expensive. about 7 years ago

Yes, it is best to take a van to the park but taking a taxi is also a better option tho it Is expensive @ approx RM150 (I think). But it is worth the comfort after a long day tracking down from Mount Kinabalu n yr legs are sooo sore. Accommodations are limited, book in advance or head to the nearest guesthouses nearby the park. about 7 years ago

I took Kuiann Ho's advice. I rented a car for RM220 for 2 days from Asal car rental. Contact Dalius @ 010 9566 300. I picked up the car at the airport. I am very satisfied with the service. I spent about RM40 petrol for the trip from KK to Kinabalu park/Ranau/Poring Hotspring and back. I enjoyed it very much. I just came back to Johor Bahru on 7/8. Thanks to Kuiann Ho. about 7 years ago
