Hmmm...I was recently in Puerto Morelos (about 40 minutes from Cancun center). If you have the time go to a place called "La Terraza". Is a small indian-mexican restaurant in front of the Puerto Morelos square (near by the beach) They have excellent food and good prices. almost 7 years ago
I have friends who ate frequently at a place called Senor Tacombi in Playa del Carmen. Heard it was great for breakfast.
They opened up in NYC as well....check it out :) It's probably too far away from the Hilton :/ but you may be in the area? over 6 years agoAnswered by farflungistan via WorldNomads.com
There are a lot of places with ver y good and not expensive food: in Avenida Kuculcan in front of the golf camp, it's a small place called "Los de Pescado" they have grat fish tacos, and a delicious ceviche. Next there's another one with really cheap and good baguettes. Almost in front of Plaza Kukulcan there are two great places: Fish Fritanga and Santos Mariscos. If you want to try the typical local food, go to Los Almendros, it is in the downtown, it,s not expensive (try sopa de lima and cochinita pibil) and its very good. about 6 years ago
