Keen to go to Nepal in Jan/Feb 2018 with a tour group to trek Annapurna circuit.
A few forums suggest that these months are freezing cold and not great, but I've spoken to a number of people that have suggested this is a great time to go.
Any tips would be great :)

No - you'll likely not get over the pass. Stick to Oct/Nov or April. 4 months ago

Definitely too cold and villages high up would be closed. We went several years ago and were at the very end of November when we crossed the pass. All the villages were closing behind us, heading to the lowlands for winter. Either go spring or autumn and enjoy. 4 months ago

I went in March last year and had incredible weather. Cold in the mornings but clear and sunny during the day.

Do wait until at least mid-March to do this trek! Not only is it cold, but the snows make many of the passes and impossible to cross and the tea houses above about 9,000 ft. are shut down. 4 months ago

I did the trek over the last few weeks of November and we had mostly great weather. I think Jan/Feb would be too cold and you would probably not even be able to get over the pass. Go in Oct/Nov or March/April. 4 months ago
