    Well i was in Delft which isn't far away but there's no reason why you could do what i did which was buy a bottle of jagermeister (its cheap), find a church tower that you're allowed up, sit down, admire the beautiful architecture of amsterdam, listen to the bells chime and drink. over 7 years ago

    It's not so easy to advice somebody whose likes and dislikes you don't know.

    -A boat trip through the canals is always a nice way to get a feel of the city and you get abetter view of the buildings than when walking on the streets along the canals.
    - If you like flowers: touring the Keukenhof. It is now at its best.
    - Or download a guided city tour to wlak or bike around the city.
    - Visit the Van Gogh Museum maybe?

    take a bike ride around the back streets of amsterdam on an old traditional bike
    Cheese factory
    Canal cruise
    clog shoe facroty - see how they make them
    see some windmills...

    Go see the Museums, tour the heineken brewery, eat some surinamese food, take a canal ride, drink great beer. that should fill your time. opps! did i mention five! Do not just waste your time there.
