We had no problems with any border crossings in Central America. They were all easy, well organised and seemingly safe. over 3 years ago

I live in Granada and so cross the border to Costa Rica and back quite often. I use a private shuttle company called NicaRide (www.nicaride.com). They are super friendly and reliable, and speak English! Plus always on time, which is important since crossing the border is always better EARLY in the morning- no lines! Also always make sure to carry a pen- the border officials don't like to lend them out. over 3 years ago

Not difficult but a bit confusing. This was a very helpful video on Youtube of the entire process of crossing from Costa Rica to Nicaragua: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uatVEm55EDk . I wish I had seen this before my first crossing. almost 2 years ago
