I am planning to visit Machu Picchu, Cusco, the Amazon rainforest and Lima on an upcoming trip to Peru. Is it worth also going to Lake Titicaca and the coast? What are the highlights in each of these places.

It is well worth the time and effort to get to Lake Titicaca . It can be very cold at night and a lot of hotels advertise HOT water , but this is rarely the case . Take a trip out to the reed islands , but be prepared to be hassled as it is terribly commercialised . A nice place to spend a couple of days over 9 years ago
