Just wondering what sort of itinerary people have followed for roughly two weeks in the Philippines? I've heard so many good things about this place - but want to know first hand. What are your tips?

If you want to avoid places which are too touristy and have some sense for adventure, Palawan is the place to go! Just catch a plane from Manila, they are really cheap. Make sure you plan to stay at least 3 or 4 days in El Nido, you will thank me later! And if you get a chance, check out the subterranean river near Sabang, it's really amazing! Mactan Island would be the ideal base. There is an International Airport you can fly directly into. There are all kinds of things you can do there. From there you can explore Cebu, Bohol, Dumaguete, Leyte, etc. about 5 years ago
