There are many areas to eat but for atmosphere and price I thought the best area was on the outskirts of Chinatown where they close off the streets in the evening and set up long tables and benches for people to eat at. Sorry, can't remember the street names but in the area of Sago and Smith Streets. over 6 years ago

Not sure how I would define 'best food court' for you. A lot of the food courts around Singapore are great places where the locals frequent. My favorite is Clarke Quary http://www.clarkequay.com.sg/ You'll know why when you see some pix from this site.

Other neighborhood food courts are great too, they are located near the bus hubs/terminals. A couple of my favorites are Aljunied and Ang Mo Kio. over 6 years ago

I agree with Chinatown food street. For something more local, east coast seafood lagoon (not seafood centre) is excellent, particularly for seafood over 6 years ago

Stay away from Clark quay fir food. It's over priced and not local. Chinatown is ok. But nit a food court. I assume you mean hawker centre... So try Maxwell Hawker centre, near Chinatown. Also try Lau Pa Sat. Lively place. East coast hawker centre is nice also. about 5 years ago
