    The airport is at the far end of the island (east side), the major shopping area is in the middle called Orchard Road (20-25 mins via taxi). Since Singapore is a small island state, thus I would suggest to stay in or near town area as there are many things to do in the daytime and at night. Airport isn't far away, therefore you shouldn't stay near there as there's nothing much to do. about 6 years ago

    We once stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and that was a vey nice experience. Can only recommend. about 6 years ago

    Ditto on the Crown Plaza. One hotel in airport complex. An taxi can get you to most shopping areas in 20 minutes. Orchard Road is their 5th Ave., Rodeo Drive, Oxford Road, Champs Élysées. about 6 years ago

    Largely depends on your budget. And which embassy Or office you need to visit for the visa. The best bet is to stay at Marriott or Hilton or Royal on Scott, BC it's only a night and these hotels will be sure to wake up call you. And you'll be near the shopping and visa place. Singapore is generally safer than most other places, so it would be difficult to book an unsafe location. Hotel v is right on an mrt line. about 6 years ago
