It looks like a way out. What is the best option to get into the city center?

From Bratislava Hlavná Stanica (Bratislava Main Railway Station) you take a bus number 93 from in front of the train station on the right side and you get of on the second stop. The bus trip should take you less than 5 minutes. The bus leaves during the day cca every 5-10 minutes.
From Bratislava Mlynské Nivy (The main bus station) you can either walk to the centre (cca 10 minutes) or take trolley bus no. 208 to Hodžovo námestie or take trolley bus no. 202 or 205 to the last stop -2nd stop.
There are 2 more train stations in Bratislava where the trains end- Bratislava Petržalka or Bratislava Nové Mesto but I dont think your train ends on one of these. If yes, just let me know. almost 10 years ago

Don't get into one of the taxis standing right in front of the stations (be it train or bus, even airport). They will charge you horrible amounts of money even for short trips. Instead, use the public transportation or call for example Taxi Trend at +421 903 216 302 or Taxi Bratislava at +421 910 930 300. It's cheaper when you call-order your car; the usual fee is approx. 0.50 EUR/km. almost 10 years ago
