I have 5 days during the World Cup period in July and want to visit the wetlands. I will have a car (not 4WD) and would like some recommendations of places to stay there/nearby. Also, any good tour companies? I am a budget traveller but may be able to stretch if it's a really interesting tour.
Also, I could stop on the coast on the way there/back so if there are any other interesting places nearby. I will have been to Kruger park and have been to Hluhluwe previously so big game is not a must, more looking for unique animals or natural/foodie/cultural experiences.
Much appreciated!

Hi Anna, I stayed at the St Lucia Safari Lodge last year and it is a nice, convenient place to stay. I did the B & B rooms but they have self catering units as well and I though they were clean, tidy and reasonably priced. almost 7 years ago
