This might be a tricky question, but I will see how good the experts on this site really are :P. How can someone fly from mainland Europe to Svalbard?
I have seen commercial flights from Oslo but is there another option? I will be travelling from Uppsala.
My imagination suggests University departments might go to do various things throughout the year and might consider taking exchange students along if they know what courses to enrol in beforehand ;)
Thanks :) Clay
ps. isn't Svalbard part of Norway officially? Why is it separated on this Travellr location thing??
You can travel to Svalbard by plane from Oslo or Tromsø. Flights info here: http://www.spitsbergentravel.com/Start/The-Travel/Flights-to-Svalbard/
It is SAS who manages these flights. over 6 years ago
