    If I were you I would just turn up, have a look at a few places, and negotiate a rate while you're there. That's what I did in Thailand and I got some great deals. If you book online you're going to pay a lot more! over 10 years ago

    What we did is pre-book one night at each destination and then on the first day while getting aquainted with surroundings have a stroll around and pop into the many accomodations in person. When you book online, you dont get a truly best representation of the place and prices are inflated. When you go in person you can bargain and choose the best accomodation upon seeing the rooms. It just makes good sense. And when you find a better accomodation you can just leave the next day, or if the one you booked prior is better then you can extend, At least you'll have options. over 10 years ago
